Feast of Mater Admirabilis, 20 october
Feast of Mater Admirabilis, 20 october
From 16 to 24 May, the Pope invites Catholics throughout the world to a week of prayer and reflection for the 5th anniversary of the Encyclical Laudato Si, so that a more just and sustainable future may come about.
While in our countries affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, we are rightly moved by its dreadful health and economic consequences, let us not forget that these are even worse for populations already weakened by other evils: extreme poverty, medical under-equipment, drought or bad weather, terrorism…
In spite of these dark days that our humanity is going through, painfully reminded of its limits and vulnerability, let us keep our hope in a better tomorrow: Christ is risen!
For several weeks now, a virus that has been in the headlines around the world has been sowing mistrust and fear, shaking many of our certainties. And what if there was a lesson to be learned from all this?
The AMASC presents its best wishes to all of its members and adherents, their relatives, and more generally, the whole family of the Sacred Heart (rscj, school staff and students, lay associates) with whom ii happy to cooperate. Because of their efforts and prayers, our world tomorrow becomes a little better and more fraternal.
From 7th to 9th November, Jacqueline de Montjoye and I, have been warmly welcomed by AMASC-Ireland, the Irish National Association, in an atmosphere of sincere friendship.
With her consent, we publish the note that Sr. Barbara Dawson just sent to her sisters for the Feast of Philippine Duchesne and the anniversary of the first commitment of Sophie Barat, November 21, 1800, in Paris, in which she mentions the difficult situation of RSCJs in some countries. We pray for them.
Wishing to strengthen the links of our association with the rest of the family of the Sacred Heart, the priority of the new president Paola del Prete was to visit the Superior General of the Sacred Heart, Sr Barbara Dawson.
