Sandra Chellel, 72, a sitting AMASC Board Member, passed away in Tiverton, Rhode Island, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the wife of the late Kay Anthony Lewis.
She also was a board member of the Arizona and Rhode Island chapters of the Elmhurst Alumnae Association, serving as current Treasurer of the latter.
Sandra was born to Edward F. Chellel and Cecelia G. (Brunelli) Chellel in Fall River, MA on November 12, 1953. She is survived by her sister, Dianne Chellel Riley of Providence, Rhode Island, and three nephews, Nathan Riley and his wife, Caitlin Soto and son, Oliver of Virginia, Spencer Riley of Germany and Cameron Riley of Florida.
Sandra’s career spanned decades as a licensed nursing home administrator at various facilities throughout Arizona and Rhode Island. Sandra also gave of her time, serving as Treasurer of the JAS Black Ships Festival.
